Centurion Systems manufactures a diverse and award-winning range of products to control the access of people and vehicles into and out of residential, commercial and industrial properties. The company’s products which have been designed to maximise users’ security and convenience are currently exported to over 70 countries worldwide. With a track record of reliability spanning three decades, CENTURION is the automatic choice in gate automation and access control.

In 2016, CENTURION became a member of the largest access automation brand in the world, FAAC, S.p.A, marking the beginning of a powerful partnership poised towards serving an even wider range of automation needs.

Company overview

The company invests considerably in its Research and Development programme with a crack team of fully-qualified engineers, using the latest computer aided design tools to constantly research new and innovative products to add to the range, upgrade existing models and develop tools and jigs for its manufacturing facility.

CENTURION has an equally strong manufacturing capability with an almost fully-automatic SMT facility installed for the population of its multitude of electronic controllers. Added to this it has a comprehensive range of numerically-controlled machine tools, including thread rolling, for the manufacture of different components used in the gate motors and traffic barriers. To further enhance the efficiency of this facility CENTURION has started to implement robotics.

The company is certified with the world-class quality assurance system, ISO9001:2015, to ensure that its products are manufactured to the highest level of quality. Added to this, using custom-built computer-aided equipment, there is a 100% test to specification on every product manufactured.

Through a team of dedicated technicians and sales personnel, together with a fully-fledged in-house training facility, CENTURION is committed to providing unmatched service and support for its products. Its products are available through a network of competent distributors and installers in over 70 countries around the world.

With hundreds of thousands of operators installed around the world, CENTURION has earned the reputation of producing reliable and innovative products for the gate and access automation industry.

As a testament to its success to date, CENTURION has over the years received a number of awards and accolades. It has earned numerous SABS Design Excellence awards for its products. It has for three consecutive years been in the top three in the South African Sustainable Growth Awards, 5 year private company category which included in one year, line honours. In 2007 its Managing Director was awarded the coveted Entrepreneurs Award, sponsored by Ernst and Young.

In 2016, history is made as global access automation powerhouse FAAC S.p.A acquires Centurion Systems.

Through our network of authorised distributors and official installers, CENTURION gate motors and access automation products are available in over seventy countries around the world.
